DOCTOR OF MINISTRY PROGRAM

The Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) is a professional degree program to primarily equip pastors, mission executives, church officials, and other ministry professionals to serve as transformational leaders. Students will experience personal spiritual renewal, growing in their understanding of the Biblical and theological foundations of transformational habits and mission. They will learn new approaches for leading change, promoting peace and reconciliation, and developing effective ministries. Students will conduct academic research on some aspects of the practice of their ministry which will culminate in a transformational project.

Program Structure

WATS Doctor of Ministry program is a three-year program, bringing students on campus twice a year, in January and July.

Entry Requirements

You must meet the qualifications prior to acceptance:

  • A Master of Divinity degree from and accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) with at least 3 years of full-time experience in a ministerial position. A Master of Arts degree in a theological discipline from an accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) with at least 5 years of full-time experience in a ministerial position.
  • Ordination or Commission to the Gospel Ministry.
  • Currently holding a position of responsibility in an African organization with the endorsement by that organization for enrolling in this program.
