About

Taba Peterside is an accomplished financial services professional with over 35 years of Nigerian and international experience in banking, development and micro finance, financial regulation and research.  She is the Founder and CEO of Waveline Growth Partners, a microfinance institution delivering credit and other financial services to MSMEs and individuals, and focusing particularly on female owned businesses.

 Before founding Waveline, Mrs Peterside was a senior executive at The Nigerian Stock Exchange (now Nigerian Exchange Limited), heading various functions including new listings and listed company relationships. She has also held senior positions in Stanbic IBTC, Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation and the International Finance Corporation.

 Mrs Peterside brings her wealth of experience to several private sector and NGO boards. She serves on the board of Ecobank Nigeria as an Independent Non- Executive Director, and CWG Plc, a listed technology service provider, among others. She is a Life Member of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (Wimbiz), and a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Nigerian National Committee of the United World Colleges, a global network of international pre-university colleges, offering the highly-regarded International Baccalaureate diploma.

 A regular speaker on business, leadership and women’s issues, Mrs Peterside is a graduate of Development Studies (Economics) from the University of Kent, UK and has a Masters in Development Economics from Dalhousie University, Canada. She has also benefitted from several leadership courses at the world’s top business schools, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors Nigeria.

 Mrs Peterside speaks French, is a sports enthusiast, and also enjoys reading, travel, art and music. She is also an active mentor, and is passionate about impacting younger generations in business and leadership.
