Why become a Nehemiah Donor?
In the Nehemiah partnership, we need large donor partners for implementing our capital projects. The capital projects include;
Global Missions Research Center
The long term vision is to have a four level Global Missions Research Center (GMRC) structure combining seminar rooms and international standard guest suites for visiting scholars. Funded quickly, the building could reasonably be developed within 24 months. Hopefully to be completed soon and designed to increase students’ capacity, it involves a total outlay of $2.5 million.
The GMRC will also house an Africana database and archival center of African church history and a library resource center for research and publications about missional and inter-faith studies in Africa. It will also house a reprographic/bindery unity for the preservation and safety of library and archival materials.
Internet Facility and provision of High-Tech Classrooms
Over the next two to three years, we intend to upgrade twenty classrooms to high-tech-enabled learning environments. This should position us for the next phase of the delivery of our academic programs:
The WATS Virtual Campus. Corollary to this move is the need to move our internet capability beyond the limitation of the 5mbps (radio connectivity) which we have found inadequate to a more robust and faster fibre optic enabled 60mbps subscription. This will help us as we upgrade our 20 classrooms with short throw projectors, access points, smart boards, laptops, audio enhancement etc. that not only effectively enhances our face to face environment, but takes us a notch higher towards a completely virtual environment. We want to thank God for the donation made towards the provision of 20 high tech classrooms. However, we still need $30,000 for the provision of fiber optic internet services.
To keep it simple, we need Nehemiah donors who can fund us to the tune of $30,000 annually for the next five years for the continuous enhancement of our virtual learning program.
