SCHOLARSHIPS

The scholarship program exists to empower, encourage and motivate WATS students by providing financial support and mentoring resources to well performing and outstanding students in all aspect of the school activities ranging from; academic performance, involvement and participation in campus activities and volunteer programs, and consistency in upholding good character and discipline. The different scholarships provided by WATS include;

 1. FRIENDS OF WATS SCHOLARSHIP (FWATS)

Eligibility for the Friends of WATS scholarship is limited to WATS students. Requirements are as follows:

  • Student MUST be duly registered and paid all the one-time charges
  • Student MUST be a 1st year 2nd semester student or MAY be a graduate (Masters) student having done 3 modules
  • Student MUST be ACTIVELY involved in community work at WATS and/or in their churches
  • Student MUST be of good character and present a letter of referral from their church, as well as the WATS Chaplaincy.
  • Student MUST be of good academic standing with minimum GPA of 3.0

2. WATS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility for the Alumni scholarship funds is limited to WATS students. Requirements are as follows:

  • Student MUST be duly registered and paid all the one-time charges
  • Student MUST be a 2nd year student or MAY be a graduate (Masters) student having done 10 modules
  • Student MUST be ACTIVELY involved in community work at WATS and/or in their churches
  • Student MUST be of good character and present a letter of referral from their church, as well as the WATS Chaplaincy
  • Student MUST be of good academic standing with minimum GPA of 3.0

3. THE PARKER MAXEY PREACHING SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility for the Parker Maxey Preaching scholarship funds is limited to WATS students. Requirements are as follows:

  • Student MUST be duly registered and paid all the one-time charges
  • Student MUST be a 3rd year final semester undergraduate student of Homiletic and Expository Preaching courses
  • Student MUST be able to ACTIVELY preach to people
  • Student MUST be of good character and present a letter of referral from their church, as well as the WATS Chaplaincy.
  • Student MUST be of good academic standing with minimum GPA of 3.0
  • This scholarship is awarded every year during the graduation ceremony to the deserving student

NOTE:
1. Scholarship forms must be picked from the scholarship office.
2. Duly filled application forms must be hand delivered to the scholarship office attaching a passport sized photo and also emailed to scholarship@wats.edu.ng
