WATS is accredited by the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) based in Nairobi, Kenya. All degree programs except the Bachelor of Arts in Religion are accredited by the association. - University of Nigeria Affiliation
On April 30, 1992, WATS became affiliated with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Currently, the Bachelor of Arts in Religion program is accredited by the National Universities Commission in Nigeria by virtue of this affiliation.
