Master of Divinity (MDiv)
The Master of Divinity is a three-year program designed to train church leaders, pastors, evangelists, or missionaries as highly competent and skilled counselors, church administrators, Christian educators and effective church leaders. The requirements include a valid first degree.
Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS)
The Master of Arts in Bible Studies is a two-year program designed to produce Bible scholars competent in biblical theology, sound exegesis and good teaching skills. You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Religion or Theology with a 2nd Class pass from any recognized university or theological college that is either affiliated with a Nigerian university at the degree level or accredited by recognized accrediting bodies.
Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MACL)
The Master of Arts in Christian Leadership is a 42-credit hour program exclusively designed for Episcopal level leadership. You must be a Bishop or General Overseer of a sizeable church before you can apply for admission.
Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies (MAIS)
The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies is a two-year program designed for the training of denominational missions leaders, missionaries, pastors and church leaders focusing primarily on the evangelization of Muslims and the discipling of Muslim Background Believers (MBBs). A valid first degree is required for admission.
BA in Theology and BA in Religion
Four-year degree programs training pastors, missionaries and Christian educators for the fast growing Nigerian church. Entrance requirements include (1) evidence of New Birth, (2) a minimum of five credits including English in O’ level WAEC or its equivalent, in not more than two sittings, (For BA in Religion, credits in Christian Religious Knowledge and one Science subject are also required), (3) a letter of recommendation by your pastor, bishop or General Superintendent.
1) Candidates with a Diploma or BA from any higher institution or university may also apply.
2) Candidates with acceptable Diploma and higher qualifications in Theology, Religion or Biblical Studies are admitted into the second year of our BA Theology. The awarding Bible College or Seminary must be affiliated to any Nigerian university or validly accredited internationally.
WATS operates daily undergraduate classes, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. All Masters programs are operated on a modular system, with most modules requiring either three or four weeks (two weeks of class lectures followed by one or two weeks of independent study). We also run a B.A.in Theology weekend session for busy pastors who cannot make adequate time for full-time studies during the week days.
