Education:

Dr. Ikechukwu Ugo is a Senior Lecturer in Missions/Evangelism and Christian Education. He received a N.C.E from Federal College of Education Gombe, 1982/3; B. A. from West Africa Theological Seminary, 1994; M. A. in Educational Ministries 2002; M.Div. (2006) and Ph.D. in Missions and New Testament Theology (2010) from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Ugo served as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies from 2012 to 2015. He is President/Founder of Gateway Refuge International Missions Inc.—a ministry dedicated to reaching prison inmates with the gospel of Jesus Christ and rehabilitating and empowering them. He is very passionate about soul winning and conducts workshops, seminars and training programs for local churches in various Christian ministries. He has published more than twenty gospel tracts and his doctorate dissertation has been published as a book by Google Books.

Dr. Ugo has received numerous community services awards, including award from Southwest Tennessee Penitentiary Prison Facility and Hope Fellowship Baptist Church. In 2009, he was listed in Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges in recognition of his outstanding merit and accomplishment as a student at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Ugo and his wife, Helen, have six children.
