Rev. Pius Oghenekohwo Usenu is a lecturer of Practical Ministry courses in the Seminary. He also heads the Seminary’s counseling unit and is a member of the Spiritual Formation Committee. He is as well the HOD of practical Theology Department.
He received a B.A. in Theology from West Africa Theological Seminary in 1993; M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from the same Institution in 2001 and is presently a final year student of the Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) in Transformational Leadership program writing his project on the topic, “Effective Discipleship as An Approach to Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation in the Church”.
Rev. Usenu has been teaching in West Africa Theological Seminary since June 2001, and has also served as Director of Spiritual Formation from 2006 to 2011. He met the Lord Jesus Christ in 1979 and has been a pastor since 1985.
Rev. Usenu is currently serving as a pastor with Gospel Faith Mission International where he was ordained in 2009, having been a registered member since 1989. He sees discipleship, mentoring and counseling as avenues through which people's lives can be affected by the ministry of the Word and prayer.
Rev. Usenu and his wife, Dorcas, have one daughter.
