Eugene Ukaoha received his OND from the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nigeria both in Nutrition and Dietetics. In response to the call of God on his life, he enrolled into the then Wesley International Bible College, Owerri (WIBC) now West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) where he received his theological education leading to a Bachelors of Arts in Theology in 1993.

Upon graduation, he was sent as a missionary to Ghana to teach at a sister Bible college, The Evangelical College of Theology (ECT), Kasoa, Ghana. While there, he completed his MA in Social Science with emphasis in Human Resource Development and Leadership at the Azusa Pacific University, California, Operation Impact (2000). He also obtained his MA in Church History at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2015. He is studying for his PhD in Church History in the same university.

Eugene has held several leadership and administrative positions in both ECT and WATS; Dean of Men, Faculty Adviser to the Student Council, Director of In-service (weekend) programme, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (2006-2009), Director of Graduate Studies (2011-2012). He has also served in and chaired many committees, including Students' Disciplinary Committee and Staff Welfare Committee.

He has published several articles including, Christianity and African Traditional Religion in Context, published in Third Millenium Africa Journal. Vol. 1, Issue No. 1, 2013, pp. 147-172;  The Church as a Solid Foundation of God: Lessons to Nigerian Pastors and Priests, published in International Journal of Christian Theology Research, Vol. 3 No. 1, 2013. He also published a book recently, Introduction to History of Christianity in West Africa, 1450-1900s (2013).

Eugene Ukaoha is a believing/growing Christian, a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is married to only one wife and blessed with two wonderful children. He is an active member of First Baptist Church, Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria.
