Dr. Kalu Okechukwu O is a senior lecturer of New Testament Studies and Greek Language at WATS. He currently heads the Department of Biblical and Religious Studies.

He received a B.A from West Africa Theological Seminary in 1993; an M.Th from Theological College of Northern Nigeria (1997); an M.A from the University of Jos (2002); and a Ph.D in New Testament Studies from Olabisi Onabanjo University (2014).

Dr. Kalu Okechukwu is currently on the Pastoral Board of a district of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Lagos, Nigeria. Apart from teaching at WATS, Dr. Kalu also serves as an adjunct faculty to Life Theological Seminary in Lagos and Wesley Evangelical School of Theology, Enugu, Nigeria. He has served as an external examiner to many schools as well. Dr. Kalu has written many unpublished articles and is currently working on publishing three books. He is a member of the Nigeria Association of Biblical Studies. He has many awards to his name, one of which is the WATS Students Council Award for Human Capacity Development and Nation Building.

Dr. Kalu is married to Pauline and the union is blessed with four (4) male children.
