Discipleship

Spiritual Activities

The spiritual standards at WATS are purposefully high. We expect our students to be clearly born again and to live exemplary Christian lives. A hunger for purity of heart and the fullness of the Holy Spirit is necessary. Those who are unwilling to uphold the standards of WATS are advised not to apply for admission in the first place. Even after admission, a student who fails to conform to the spiritual standards of the Seminary will be asked to withdraw.

Personal Devotions and Prayer Emphasis

The Seminary places much emphasis on prayer because it recognizes that no Christian can grow or be more effective beyond his prayer life. As a result, devotional training is one of the most important parts of our curriculum: a regular Bible reading and prayer time is provided for in the daily schedule. All are encouraged to develop a habit of praying and meditating. All classes open with prayers. Special times of fasting and prayer are scheduled periodically for officers of the WATS Student Council, WATS students, and Staff of the Seminary.
